Hello,

It is hard to believe that the 2008 Warrior Regiment Band Camp is just a few weeks away.

1.  We are in need  of a few more volunteers - the blanks are shown below.  Please send me a note to let me know which times you prefer and I'll respond to you.  I'll be gone July 19-21 (so I won't respond then).  

2. We need a few people to contact some of the local businesses to donate gift cards and items for band camp.  Please let me know if you are willing and then contact Judy Case for a list of prior donors.  

Door Prizes
Need 2-3 to split up businesses to solicit door prizes for band camp – Tickets are given out during camp for successful marching and musicianship.  All tickets go into a drawing for prizes to be distributed 8-7-08 after marching for the parents in the evening.   Work with Judy Case (987-0577 or judycase at mchsi.com) for a list of prior donors.  Parents also may make prize donations – samples of prior gifts are: gift cards (coffee, food, movies, mall, jewelry stores, etc.), food, t-shirts, small electronics, computer gaming chairs, stereos, etc. Take these to the band room early in the week for band camp.

3.  We could use some donations for band season (for the uniform carts):

10-15 bottles of Febreeze - for shoes 
10-15 large containers of Wet Ones (any brand) - to clean dust and mud off shoes

Please take these to the band room during band camp.

4.  We could use more storage shelving in the Uniform Room - storage units are about $60 each at Costco and we could use 5 of them.  If you would like to donate toward this cause, checks can be made to the Waukee Band Parents - a receipt will be sent to you for your donation.

Uniform Hemming Crew

Need a group of 10 –20 who are willing to hem uniform pants or jacket sleeves.  Uniforms may be picked up at the high school between 8-5 M-Th or 8-1:30 Friday during band camp.  Special arrangements for pick-up/drop-off may be made with Beth Baumeister or Judy Case.
