The 7th grade jazz bands placed 1st and 2nd. The 8th grade jazz band took 1st place. Jazz II placed first in the 2nd band class. Jazz I took 1st place in class 4A. This was an outstanding accomplishment for Waukee! Congratulations again to all the directors and students!!!!!!!!!! Waukee Jazz I performs at 2:45 PM on Tuesday, April 13th at the Civic Center. The event was founded by Iowa jazz educators over thirty years ago and continues to be an important event on the Iowa high school band landscape each spring. Tickets for the day competition are $7.
