Brendan Cunningham was awarded Best Soloist at Woodward for his outstanding piano solo. Hoover's Jazz Festival is March 7th and the Waukee Jazz Showcase is March 12th at Prairieview in the commons. Again, the figures are preliminary and will depend on the inclusions, interests in add ons, and in some cases the number of people traveling. For those wanting just the land package, which means travel to Orlando will be on your own, the figures are: Quad occupancy, $575, and double occupancy, $730. This includes tickets for a seat at the parade, tickets to theme parks, hotel, and breakfast at the hotel. All travel in Orlando will be on your own. There are shuttles from the hotel to the theme parks according to the hotel's web site. For those wanting to travel on the bus along with the package in Orlando, the prices are as follows: Quad occupancy, $890, and double occupancy is $1045. This will include your transportation while in Orlando to the theme parks and the parade along with the tickets, hotel, and breakfasts at the hotel. These are the prices with filling up a 55-passenger bus. We are working on getting breakdowns for varying levels of riders on the bus. The family rates are different as they do not include things such as the band pizza party the first evening in Orlando, breakfast at Planet Hollywood, and the $15 Disney dollars. The above packages can be changed in accordance to what parents wish to include in their package deals as a group. The hotel we are staying at is the Rosen Centre in Orlando. The two Waukee 7th grade jazz bands tied for 1st place. The 8th grade band took 2nd place to Merrill Middle School.
