[News] Waukee Band Parent - Roadie Report 9/15

We have our first full load this weekend.  Below are report times.  We
still have several openings for people to help with loading/unloading,
as well as getting the equipment out to the field for performance.   I
believe the uniform crew also has some openings.
 
While we're okay for this weekend, we're also always looking for a pool
of people who are able to drive our larger trucks.  If you have your
Class A CDL (straight truck up to 26,000 lbs.) and would be willing to
serve as a driver sometime, please drop me an e-mail.  Thanks!
 
 
Report Times

	7:30 - Start Loading the trucks
	8:30 - Depart for "Wake with the Band"
	9:00 - "Wake with the Band" performance
	            Depart straight for Johnston Invitational
immediately after.
	11:30 - Students in uniform
	12:20 - Johnston Performance
	3:00ish - Back in Waukee and unloaded

 
I'll have layouts for each of the trucks.  Some things to consider as we
load:
    1)  Our first performance is essentially a parade.  We'll need to
ensure easy access to the appropriate percussion equipment and the
larger horns.
    2)  I haven't confirmed this, but I'm assuming students with smaller
instruments (meaning not percussion or sousaphones) will be carrying the
instruments on the bus.  We'll load empty cases on the uniform truck
after the uniforms are loaded.
    3)  At Johnston, the first objective is to get the uniforms out and
spaced out for dressing areas.  Students should not plan on having
access to a restroom to change in.   We'll then get instruments
unloaded.
