[News] Just a few slots left to fill for Saturday - it takes over 200 volunteers for the event

To All of you who love cars, trucks and buses:
 
Here is your chance to check out all the great cars while you direct traffic and show our visitors where to park.
I need 1-2 adults 6:30-11 AM to direct traffic at the entrance to the west hs parking lot and Centennial Park (volunteer parking). Your crew just needs a leader.
 
I need 13 people to direct traffic and show cars where to park from 1-5 and 5-close of the show.
 
This is a very easy job and you can hear the bands on the field.
 
So you prefer trucks...
 
Here is your chance to check out the pit trucks as you show them where to park and unload.
 
Doug Olmscheid needs someone to help him from 10-1.  We'll have food for the volunteers at the "Command Center" AKA Trailer by the tennis courts.  
 
I need 2 people to help from 1-5 and 2 more from 5-close of the show.  The same 2 people could take both shifts.
 
Okay, so you like the really big buses...
 
We'll have plenty of buses to look at on Saturday.
 
We need 2 people from 10-1.  Chris McLinden needs someone to hang out with from 1-5 and then we need 2 more from 5-close of the show.
 
You want to sit down on the job?   Bring your chair and sit by the west gate to check handstamps and pass out programs from 5:30-last competing band.  Then go to the stands to watch Waukee perform and see the awards and fireworks.
 
Security - make sure all is safe in and out of the buildings...  Gary Bland and John Carver need some help.  We need one woman to work all day or 4 to each take one shift.  You will patrol the women's restrooms.  We need 1 man to patrol the men's restrooms in the morning - or 2 to each take one shift.  You might get to drive a golf cart (must be 18).
 
Field Warm-up - could use 3 more for afternoon and evening.
 
Thanks to all who have volunteers - just need a few more to finish up.  We want to have an impressive event.
