Roadies - it is time to think back through the Marching Band season for the memorable moments in working with the Regiment members for the items that may qualify as a nomination for the coveted Krause award, thank you Matt Krause for making this award possible.
For those of you that may not know what this award is and what may qualify as a nomination - here are a couple of examples of past actions for nominees for the award:
- the band has a warm up before heading to a contest and the instruments are loaded onto the equipment truck and the entire band stops to eat breakfast before the contest and some Regiment member walks up and wants you to unload the instruments off of the truck, so that they can get money out of their instrument case - not going to happen...
- the band arrives at a contest and get dressed and get instruments out and a Regiment member discovers they do not have an instrument...
- not being able to find your shoes or seeming to have 2 left shoes or 2 right shoes...
- hair issues - not just for the girls...
I am sure there would be other examples to provide, but these will provide the general idea as to what would qualify.
I wonder if the above examples have really ever happened???
Please submit your Krause award nominations (action and person that did it) before noon on Friday.
Thanks,
Doug
