Dear Band Parents,

One of the great things about our 5th grade band program is the  
individual instruction that each student receives on their  
instrument.  As you know, each band student has one twenty minute  
band lesson with me once per cycle.  In an effort to provide the best  
possible instruction, I have revised the band lesson schedule just a  
bit.  Starting next week and until the end of the year, I will be  
teaching band lessons at Maple Grove Elementary on Days 2, 5, and 6.   
(It has been Days 2, 4, 6).

For most students, this will be nothing new because their lesson is  
on Day 2 or 6 anyway.  For others, the only difference is they will  
now bring their instrument on Day 5 (instead of Day 4).  I will give  
each student a 3x5 note card that is printed with their name, new  
lesson time and day.  If it works the way I intend, you will not even  
notice a difference as the fifth graders are very familiar with the  
Six Day Cycle.  Nevertheless, it's important to keep everyone  
informed about transporting instruments to and from school.

For your convenience, I have attached a PDF file that has the Six Day  
Cycle labeled for March and April.  Feel free to hang it on the  
refrigerator or some place you can easily reference the Six Day Cycle  
every morning.
